CACD-ONG wins the 2025 UNESCO-Japan Prize with the restauration of the Ookpo Sacred Forest of Pobè

In November 2025, Culture at the Heart of Development (CACD-ONG) was honoured in Paris by UNESCO as a recipient of the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). This prestigious international award recognizes CACD-ONG’s commitment to the preservation of cultural and natural heritage through its innovative project for the restoration and sustainable management of the Ookpo Sacred Forest in Pobè, Benin.
Une belle initiative visant à valoriser et préserver notre patrimoine culturel et nos valeurs ancestrales, tout en œuvrant à la protection de l’environnement, à la promotion des savoirs traditionnels au service de la paix et au développement durable.
